"I'm a mother, I deserve to be pampered." That was my response to a comment from someone about a Saturday where I had planned consisting of a facial and a pedicure. My response flew out of my mouth, like most of my responses, without much forethought. But this response was different than all those that left me with the feeling of wanting to snatch it out of the air and stuff it back in my mouth. This response made me happy. It affirmed my thoughts that I had stuffed away: hidden under Medela breast pumps, daycare and preschool fees, finding clothes that hid my pooch, and my attempt to make it to work at a time that would not trigger looks of disapproval from colleagues.

This is the reason for my development of Fée Marraine Boutique. Our bodies just did the equivalent of running a marathon each day that we were pregnant! Now it's time to pamper ourselves and after that test of endurance, emotion, and pure heart, we absolutely deserve to pamper ourselves. We deserve something that will make us feel beautiful. Something that celebrates our new body and what we sacrificed to achieve it.
